Moire Typeface Designed by Jack Gilbey, 2009 Poster printed offset lithography Made as part of the 'Passion For Print' elective, 2009, each student was asked to respond to a word related to print process. Jack was given 'moire' – and wanted to find a way to put a positive spin on this printers' nightmare. The solution was to create something which required Moire to succeed – a typeface in which each character comprises two linear blocks. When overprinted, the letterforms appear as Moire interference.
