Museum of Modern Art plans to expand its lobby, as part of a revised renovation project to begin next week that includes opening up sight lines to the garden and extending the 'Bauhaus Stair' to the ground level. And the plan now has a price tag: an estimated $400 million for new construction and soft costs, plus $40 million to $45 million for renovations to the museum's existing structures.
